Beach Walk

I wonder if I put up just a photo instead of a post, if anyone will notice?
Goldie just before we got kicked off beach

Super Friendly Ranger Guy: HI! HI! What is your pup's name?
Suebob: That is Miss Goldie
Super Friendly Ranger Guy: Oh, she looks like a GOOD dog!
Suebob: Why, yes, she is.
Super Friendly Ranger Guy: So the reason I am talking to you is about the PUP!
Suebob: Yes?
Super Friendly Ranger Guy: You see, this is a STATE BEACH! Dogs aren't allowed on the STATE BEACH! Because of the ENDANGERED SPECIES!

Ok, that's enough. But I swear he did talk in all caps like that. Like kindergarten teachers do.

as much as a picture is worth 1000 words, i'd notice if you didn't post.
also, are you into wow (world of warcraft)? because your ad-bar has a giant advertisement for it. i never would've pegged you as the type. ;)

well if she is a GOOD dog then Ranger Danger doesn't have to worry about the ENDANGERED SPECIES!

I like pictures of Goldie. I'm sorry she got her sweet doggie ass thrown off the STATE BEACH.

Oh, the ranger was trying to be so nice! :)

Oh, I know, Liz. He was super sweet. I am sure he deals with jerks all the time, but we were very nice and meekly headed back down the beach to the NON_STATE part.

Aw - she is a good dog.

Our beaches are also supposed to be dog-free - but I see people on them with dogs all the time, mostly in the early morning.

I've always felt rangers give locals the benefit of the doubt, but I wonder if I'm right.

Well, if the other species were smarter, they wouldn't be endangered, would they? Survival of the fittest and all?

OK, I don't know what is wrong with me today. It's been a long week.

I've been cracking up at this post for days now, whenever it comes up in my feed reader.

I wonder why the Super Friendly Ranger Guy talks in all caps? Maybe he thinks he has to speak loudly because he's outdoors? Maybe he thought you didn't speak English? ;-)

Nancy - he was just trying to be OVERLY NICE. I get the feeling he has to deal with jerks a lot who give him a hard time when he has to be the enforcer.
